Russian govt spends 202 bln rbl on children’s benefits

MOSCOW, Nov 6 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has spent 202 billion rubles on benefits to the families with children aged three to seven since the start of the year, Deputy Labor Minister Olga Batalina said on Friday.

"The benefits have been assigned to more than 4.2 million children. 202 billion rubles were spent on the purpose. It is enough for parents to send an application to sign monthly payments. The authorities receive additional documents from the social protection bodies during interdepartmental contacts," Batalina said.

President Vladimir Putin signed the start of benefits to children aged three to seven on January 1, the payments are distributed among families with average per capita income smaller than the living wage and amount to about 5,500 rubles in 2020.
